This class is ideal for a mature audience looking to increase mobility and flexibility in their lives using somatic movement practices. This class is available for any level of ability or fitness background. Participating in a small sized therapeutic yoga class (maximum 12 students) is beneficial for anyone looking for personalized instruction to develop their yoga skills in a safe and informative environment. This therapeutic program is excellent for learning how to modify yoga poses to assist in healing specific injuries or issues with limited mobility in the body. Basic breathing and meditation practices will also be integrated into the class aiming towards bringing more energy and vitality into each session and your life in general.
Instructor: Victoria Mitchell
Victoria has taught yoga in Taiwan, India and Portugal for four years training yoga teachers and running workshops and retreats abroad. Her most recent training has led her to develop a teaching style based on somatic movement using Vinyasa sequencing. Her teaching style also consists of fascial integration for alignment and adjustments from the Ashtanga Vinyasa primary and intermediate series. With extensive training in Pranayama and a background in Ayurvedic Massage and Reiki level 1 Victoria’s teaching approach focuses on how to heal the mind and body through yoga and other related practices.
